Going Loco...

At my local Men's Shed you don't have to do an activity on every visit. Today I drank coffee and watched others working on a longterm project.

It has been decided that a train track will be built in the rafters of the shed. Today the 2nd of a total of 8 bridges was offered into place. There will be 2 sweeping curves at each end and each bridge will be designed differently.

Suffice to say it will not be a simple train running on clockwork or the like. It will be remote controlled with a programme to make it stop at features along the way. It will even self determine if it needs to stop over the WC block to recharge its batteries.

There are a few ex-engineers at the shed and even more who know better, so I'm keeping clear of the project...
