Impressions of Nîmes

Early-ish rise this morning to ensure we did most of the sightseeing in Nîmes before the afternoon heat. The city center is beautiful in most places, but what really wowed us was the Roman arena (a complete mini colosseum) and the temple (Maison Carrée). We also loved the relatively new Musée de la Romanité next to the arena, a wonderful collection and a fantastic panoramic terrace and lovely restaurant.
