Local Hero

The music sound track to the film is brilliant. I have the CD. All the tracks are instrumental pieces apart from one, a song sung by Gerry Rafferty.

The young American oil businessman has been sent by his boss (Burt Lancaster) to a remote Scottish village to strike a deal with the locals. On his way there from the airport he stops right here in his rented Mark 4 Cortina to take in the view, and who could blame him. The car door is left ajar and you can hear Gerry Rafferty on the radio singing The Way it Always Starts
It is probably good manners to mention the other Scottish artist responsible for the music; Mr Knopfler.
