Bucknall Street
Thank you for all the lovely comments, stars and hearts for yesterday’s photo of Doreen’s 97th birthday and your good wishes for our 20th wedding anniversary. I haven’t had the opportunity today to thank you personally for the hearts today as I would usually do. So thank you.
A good day indeed, we’re staying at the Sea Containers hotel on the banks of the Thames adjacent to the OXO building walking there from Victoria station. When we checked we were asked about the reason for our visit. Upon learning that it was to celebrate our wedding anniversary we were given glasses of rather fine Prosecco!
Suitably refreshed we walked to the Dickens Museum on Doughty Street, a placed we’ve wanted to visit for many years. An enjoyable visit with lots of detail about his professional and private life.
Next we visited a few hostelries which were listed in a traditional London pub tour calling in at the Fitzroy Tavern and the Marquis of Granby and ending up at Zizzi’s for a better than average pizza. Which was where todays blip was taken. A final walk took us back to the hotel for a impromptu doze!
