Film Scanner

This is the film strip holder for my film scanner.  I wanted to  scan a few photographs from old black and white negatives today.  I managed to do a few, and then the scanner started misbehaving.  I think the holder is not feeding properly. That's a bit of a disaster.  Apart from the immediate task, I have thousands of slides and negatives, some of which I would really like to scan and save digitally.  I face the prospect of having to buy a new scanner if I can't get this one to work. (No chance of getting it repaired:  Minolta left the photographic business many years ago.)
