EEK!

I’d intentions of debating the qualities of a mealie pie but in hindsight … a mealie pie in say Peterhead is a scotch pie casing filled with mealie and is a dry and unpalatable prospect. However a mince and mealie pie is an altogether different offering and is to be highly commended. Mealie for those not in the know has a taste that is like nothing else. 

Yet that is by the by. Over the past couple of nights the dog has been unsettled in the bedroom. Growling and mithering throughout the night. Mrs FP suggested a mouse or something in the chimney. No, horror of horrors it was a spider so large in the waste paper bin that its movements were making the paper rustle! Mrs FP wrestled it to the ground while I locked myself in the car and tried not to scream. Tomorrow we drive to Oban to release it. Sorry Oban.
