Concert
They were meant to be in a recording studio, but the arrangements fell through and so David Swan and Isa Holmgren ended up giving an impromptu concert at short notice in Cumbernauld Old Parish Church, where David's gran is a member.
It was a fabulous evening with two extremely talented musicians. Their repertoire included traditional music from Sweden and Norway, Scotland and Ireland, with their own adaptations of works by Robert Burns and Oscar Wilde thrown in for good measure.
Because of the short notice - only about nine or ten days - we didn't have a lot of time to publicise the event and there wasn't a large audience, but those of us who were able to attend were spellbound by the musicianship on show.
Oh, and the fundraising team had prepared a selection of mocktails for the interval - a wee change from the usual tea and biscuits. What's not to like?
