dear daily & sunday telegraph,

you may have been doing the public a favour by exposing the scandal of mps' expenses, and your journalism colleagues the cost and legwork of doing the story themselves, but your habit every night for the past week of drip-feeding stories and then crashing the big one out at 10pm or so has also been a pain in the rear.

thanks to you, every attempt i have made at light-hearted, cheeky, frivolous distraction - and indeed every attempt i have made at ordinary conversation about dog ownership, baby management and generalised stuff - has been cruelly ignored. you might have put on 230,000 in sales, but my personal life has suffered for every one. another time, have the grace to either drop it at 1pm or at 1am, so we don't have panic near deadlines and i don't have to watch a friendship crack under the strain!

thanks to all who commented on yesterday's blip 365 it was wonderful to see them all lined up every time i logged on (i'm so shallow...). especial thanks to the two new subscribers, welcome! anyone who thinks of a project for me should feel free to drop in a comment any time; i'm going to start after i finish the dictionary project and have been on hol - so probly the start of july. i'm not good with change, so fingers crossed please!
