Fading away or new life emerging

Roses in our garden. I was drawn to them as the sunlight caught the flowers contrasted against the dark trees in the background. Fading flowers but the buds show new ones emerging.

Taken with my Leica T and Minolta MC 135mm f3.5 lens, good to keep practicing manual focusing.
