Wine with friends
Our Norwegian friends were on the way back from their time visiting family in Yorkshire and we went for a Korean meal with them at Gaya in Raynes Park. We were ushered into a back room of the restaurant, which was a little odd as it wasn’t full up front, but I think it was quieter at the back (even if it was a little harder to get attention). It’s one of those places where there’s a barbecue in the middle of the table and I am never sure if you we supposed to cook the food yourself or let the restaurant’s team work their magic at the table. We seemed to end up with a bit of both.
After a lovely meal with an over-facing amount of food - and a couple of bottles of wine - we retreated to the bar in the Travelodge (where they are staying) and were able to get a few more drinks. Clearly many more than we needed but a nice way to end our time with them.
