Out Of The Blue

A little icon at the bottom of my PC screen told me that it is International Tiger Day. I thought that it had nothing to do with me until I spotted two Jersey tiger moths on our morning walk. Unfortunately I failed to capture either of them. :(

What a thrill then to spot and photograph a common blue butterfly just before lunch. I didn't see a single one last year and this is my first of 2022. After the hot weather of last week there are very few wildflowers still blooming. Thank Goodness for the fleabane. 

I decided to take the 35mm macro lens out this afternoon for a change. It gives a different take on the willow emerald damselfly. (Extras)
