Fed Up

Fifteen of us made our way from Pitlochry by minibus to Grandtully for an evening of wine fine dining.

We enjoyed a selection of canapes followed by a three course meal with each dish paired with a wine selected by the manager who also told us about each wine.

It was the second time we'd been - it's an informal group with quarterly outings - and once again we really enjoyed it.

The wines included a really good lambrusco to start (much classier than the ones I drank as a student), a limited edition South African red made to celebrate the birth of the vineyard owners daughter and a surprisingly complex muscadet with desert. It was hard to pick a favourite.

Unexpected delights on food front included grilled baby gem lettuce and tarragon ice cream !

A grand night out.
