Last night I found the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony to be slightly confusing. I could not make out very well what was being said in the arena and when it was overlaid with the commentators’ script it was worse. Subtitles did not help as they were so far behind the curve. So not as engaged with that ceremony as London 2012 or Glasgow 2014.

That said there were still some impressive moments and the bull was astonishing.

A morning of emails and then in the afternoon I got a message that the lawnmower service had been done and it could be collected. I see they also carry out other garden tool improvements. I have a pair of rusty shears in need of upgrading - but I might blip them first!
