'Bye 'bye Joe Pye
This is the last of the Joe Pye. It has been beaten down by two downpours but it still puts out a beautiful bloom. Today we will have a brief respite from the hot weather but it will be back with us tomorrow. I am off this afternoon to see my annual (interrupted for two Covid years) performance of an Agatha Christie play at the Barnstormer's Theater in Tamworth, NH. This year it is Black Coffee. Yes, we all will be wearing masks but we will be back in that delightful old theater. Founded by the son of President Grover Cleveland, it has been entertaining summer visitors since 1931 and it is the oldest ongoing professional summer theater in the US. It's just not summer without my visit to the Barnstormer's.
