8 not 9

We had another meeting today, as last Friday, on the same early planning stages of a new phase of a project. At least we made it out of the meeting room after 8 hours today, instead of last week’s 9.

The day began with a chaotic visit to this hospital for a Covid test due to some upcoming travel. Tanzania is a very interesting country in which to be organising Covid tests due to the previous president’s (who died in 2021, rumoured to be from Covid) public denial of cases existing in the country. It means knowledge and information about Covid in Tanzania are relatively low and the country has a very disadvantaged starting point from which to tackle it. The Covid toll in Tanzania would be extremely difficult to assess.

Tests are now available, all highly centralised by the Ministry of Health. Fingers crossed my result arrives at some point over the weekend.
