Interesting bug

Terri and I popped over to RHS Rosemoor today as they had a "Vintage Day". A few Army vehicles etc around, very chatty land girls and a wonderful singer of '40's/50's songs that we sat and joined in with as and when we could!.  There was a lot of wonderful old cars in one area as well as old toys etc.  
We meandered through the gardens seeking 'bugs' and found this rather unusual critter. Think it is a gasteruption wasp but happy to have anyone correct me.
