Didn’t get home until after midnight (long time since that happened) so perhaps not surprising that I didn’t wake up until 8.15!
Did some much needed cleaning and then popped to m and S for nice grown up drink and to get some cash. Don’t quite know what happened but I got home just 5 minutes before I was supposed to be meeting Ju and her grandchildren for a picnic across the other side of the city. Set off straight away but was 30 mins late! Had a nice time with the kids - haven’t seen them for over 2 years - they played on the fantastic adventure playground and then we went for a walk through the country park. It’s been built on one of the old collieries and these metal arches were used to hold up the roof of the seam which was being dug out.
Called in at a farm shop on the way home for nice sausages and strawberries and also the garden centre - got a few plants in the half price sale
