It's well known for the rain...

...but just for a change it hailed! It hailed all the way along the A66 and at one point we couldn't even hear each other talking in the car!

Cumbria is exceptionally beautiful although this time unfortunately I had no time for 'proper' photos, so just grabbed this quick snap with my phone. Next time...
