On the weir

A late start after a disturbed night's sleep. There was some sort of very noisy altercation outside the pubs on the High Street last night, with shouting and screaming well into the early hours.

Spent some time messing around with the new laptop this afternoon.
Looking forward to being able to upload photos from my camera to it, I was disappointed when the laptop failed to recognise the camera. Aaaagh! Thought at first it was a faulty adapter or USB port on the laptop, but it seems not, as photos uploaded from an SD reader without problem. Need to consult the handbook for the camera...

A walk down to the river this evening. No heron or dippers to be seen, only this lack-headed gull walking hesitantly across the top of the weir.
