Get knitted

At the start of lockdown I stocked up on various knitting and needlework supplies (including books on how to do things!) with the intention of relearning a few things I’d not done since my GCSE textiles course thirty-odd years ago.

As you can see the knitting didn’t go too well (I’m still on the most basic stitch and my first ball of yarn!) but thanks to being stuck indoors this week I’ve added a few more rows to my practice piece…

The worst row I ever had with my mother was the result of her trying to help me master knitting - if memory serves, wool and needles may were flung across the living room.

I doubt I’ll ever really get the hang of much more than endless lengths of basic knitting but you never know…
