Tree Hugging

I had intended to walk one of the stages of the Southern Upland Way with Pamela today.  Unfortunately Pamela had hurt one of her legs and her feet and she wasn’t up to walking again so we spent the day going for short walks, drinking tea and eating biscuits which was very enjoyable and a lot less hard work.  Pamela took this picture of thechimp and I measuring the girth of a sycamore tree.  Thechimp estimates it is about 220 years old
