I''ve heard this juvenile Red-tailed hawk crying for food sight unseen for over a week. I also heard the parent call back to it, so I knew it was well cared for. It was a real treat to see it out in plain sight perched on a pile of limbs stacked by the roadside. And yes, it was still crying like it was dying of neglect, and the parent was still calling back to it.
