Wound up in Wexford

Meadow in the "lawn"

It is quite normal for the meadow plants to spread by seed, and to therefore invade the surrounding grass.  But it is not normal for them to be the ONLY plants actually growing and thriving - the grass is brown and withered.  Normally, as the grass grew, the meadow plants that had self seeded would be chopped off in the early stages of growing.  That hasn't happened this year - though our neighbour had the mower out yesterday purely to mow the weeds!

It did rain during the night, but I don't think there was enough to make any significant difference to our garden - we need several days of continuous rain.

In extras, a collage of some "block of the month" projects from one of the needlework sites I subscribe to.  Just playing, practising to get the joins and the points better.  Something to keep me occupied.
