The Bandstand

Our long time friends came to visit early afternoon, and after a chat for a couple of hours watching the rain outside, the sun came out and we drove the five minutes to Ross on Wye (Herefordshire). The sun was out and very humid and parking near town bridge we enjoyed a walk along the river Wye.

A brass band was playing in the bandstand, watched by quite an assembly of people picnicking on the grass enjoying their music as my photograph shows.

After they'd left to go home early evening I was able to enjoy the second half of the Women's EUFA Cup final where England beat Germany in extra time (2-1). The winning goal was scored by Chloe Kelly who took her shirt off to celebrate - and did get a booking for doing so!  Great to see England winning a final.
