And relax

It started off as a rather grey, damp day, but the kids were not put off and they both ran Junior parkrun in Inverleith Park. Back to the house for a late breakfast and fairly soon afterwards their parents arrived from Glasgow and we all had lunch. Then it was a scurry round to make sure nothing was left behind and they were whisked away home again. The house immediately felt very quiet and as though something was missing.

The afternoon turned lovely and sunny and warm. The sweet peas wouldn’t win any prizes, but they keep on coming and smell beautiful - I love having them in the house.
