Comma

A fun day today, Lynne took us for lunch at Farfield Mill, and a look around the exhibitions. It was great and nice and quiet.
Then we headed for our butterfly transect but the clouds built up and we decided to go to Brigsteer Woods instead. We had some sunshine there, a few silver washed fritillaries, and Rob spotted this comma caterpillar on a nettle. I don’t think I’ve seen one before, they are really unusual.
Then I planted another row of French beans in case we can manage a late crop- fingers crossed!
