Onion paparazzi...
When I pulled this red onion from the bin to slice and add to the peppers for fajitas, I was stopped cold. I couldn't do it.
Like a twenty year old Hollywood starlet, it had the perfect shape. Its skin was flawless. I marveled at the curves, the veins and how they wrap around and converge at both ends.
Instead, I picked a much homelier onion to slice up and kept this one to blip.
That is not to say that its beauty and perfection will save it from being eaten in the next few days. An onion is still an onion, perfect or not.
