A reconnaissance walk was called for, to double check the best place to cross the tram works (pleasantly surprised to find Leith Walk is cross-able again without hunting for the ever-moving barricade alley) and to see whether there were any unexpected consequences of the festival and fringe coming back to town.  

Overall a good walk - though may be a little long for visitors who will also want to stop and look at things.  Will have to play things by ear.
