Putting Things Into Perspective For A Tin Mouse

We decided on a quieter day after yesterday's visit to Rye. We fitted in another early morning run, our fourth day in a row, before heading into town for lunch at Wildwood.
It's one of our favourite restaurants - the staff are always warm and friendly and the food is great. Even better today they were doing a very competitively priced lunch menu - so we both had a huge thin crust pizza each, a pudding (a chocolate brownie with ice cream and chocolate sauce) and a bottle of beer a piece all for less than £30! Amazing value.
After that rather large lunch we didn't have much energy for the rest of the day so we just enjoyed relaxing until it was time to watch the 2022 Women's Euros semi-final - England versus Sweden.
I've throughly enjoyed watching the Women's Euros with the great atmospheres in the stadiums and the fantastically high standard of football with the England team showing skill, pace, fortitude and above all a fabulous team dynamic.
This particular game was no exception. England were under fairly severe pressure in the first half but as soon as Beth Mead scored just after the half hour they began to look much more assured and they ran away with the game in the second half with three more goals - from Luzy Bronze, Alessia Russo (with an outrageous back heel) and Fran Kirby. England fully deserve to be in the final. Fabulous stuff! My favourite player has to be the defensive colossus that is Milly Bright, with the team being magnificently marshalled by the manager Sarina Wiegman.
Today's image was just a quick shot I took outside our back door and shows the tin mouse we jointly purchased yesterday in Rye. A colourful and rather jaunty looking rodent I'm sure you'll agree!
