Sun dial

I dropped my daughter's car off at the garage in the village this morning for its annual service and MOT test (it passed!). On my walk back through the recreation ground I thought the shadow cast by the lamp post, which fell across the circular pattern on the parched grass, could serve as a gigantic outside sun dial. I took the picture at around 9.15 am and if I'd had the  numbers to mark the hours I could have constructed it there and then. But I looked at my watch again and  carried on with my walk home.
