Bush tucker bags

Our lovely honeymooners A and E brought us a truly lovely present from their home in Groote Eylandt (Australia.). A pair of beautiful dilly bags made from the bark of the Peanut or Cocky Apple tree. Coloured with local roots and bark and woven by hand they were traditionally used for collecting fish, mussels and bush tucker. I fancy a bit of mushrooming with them.
Nearly as gorgeous as the gorgeous couple who gave them to us. We had a GREAT time with them (see 5000vines.)
