Little things...

Pamper Day for mum today: hair washed and set by one of the nurses this morning, this evening a manicure from me. Little things that made a world of difference to mum.

A non-stop day of medical phone calls starting at 8.30am, and visits from three hospice nurses, with a fourth yet to come and leave at 10pm. I finally got round to reporting our practically non-existent phone landline, an engineer to call in 2-3 days, and a friend, S, and her husband came this afternoon and successfully unblocked our outside kitchen drain which has been flooding everywhere for the last four days!  S brought some treats for us all, choccie for dad and I, and flowers for mum. More little things that meant so much...
