On the Common

I had a chat with my German language partner today, then I waited in for the people to service our air con. Only instead of arriving they sent me an email saying they couldn't make it. They suggested Wednesday morning instead, but we can't do mornings, so I don't know when it will be now.

I finally got myself together for a ride over the common. I went a slightly different way from usual, and found that the path I was following was definitely a footpath, and one for short people at that! You can see how low the branch over the path was. 

Neil and I watched some more Death in Paradise. That first series was very good.

Tomorrow we go and pick up our friend from Worthing who is going to stay for a bit. It's masks all round for a couple of days, then covid tests. Fingers crossed none of us get anything from each other. (Evie has been mask wearing and isolating for a couple of days at home - we're allowing four days incubation. We hope it's enough.)
