As Quickly as Possible

The side of the house we'd finished by early this morning. 

Compare with this view of the same side when we bought the place (a wry smile at my blithe "make this building livable as quickly as possible and move in, and then work on the top building" ha! Over five years later... Think I've said before, don't come to the Alentejo if you like things to be done quickly.)

We've done it the traditional Alentejano way - white, with borders round everything, and with one of the three traditional colours, which are: a sort of royal blue, mustardy yellow and this bordeaux red. The borders were a lot of work to get right!

We've now finished the whole house (apart from a second coat on the red), and it does look better. Vítor paid us a lovely compliment last night when he said it made him feel like when he was a child at his grandmother's house.

Gratefuls:
- cooling down a bit more than yesterday, though it stayed at over 41C again; only 32 now at gone 10pm
- that Paul is feeling a lot better
- Zoom prayer with folk around the world

Oh, and a fit husband!
