OMG
This is the scene that confronted us as we drove between Merredin and York this afternoon. Believe me we thought we were in for a massive hail or electrical storm. We were only a short way from a little town were we thought we could seek refuge under the awning of a Petrol Station. The last 2km seemed to take hours but we made it safely. As we sat there checking the radar on our weather app the sun came out. It appears that we must have been in the right street at the right time and it bypassed us. A huge relief as we’re now only a stones throw from reaching our destination. This morning’s drive was a feast for the eyes. It was either this eye watering Canola where you needed your sunglasses or the most verdant green pastures of wheat waving in the wind. Tonight we are snuggled up in MiniMo in York. York was the first inland town established outside Perth and has some really beautiful old buildings. We should be able to have lunch with Big Al Allan46 tomorrow. I just can’t wait. Also looking forward to catching up with our blip buddies, the incorrigible, ninniex, Doyley22 and DonnaWanna. Hoping PAR1 from England will make it in time as well. Wow, what a day that will be. See you soon you lot :)
Tonight we are in Ballardong country
