Slightly faded and a bit dog eared but this lovely photo is my latest acquisition to my wedding photograph collection.

On the back is written the date when it was taken - 1911 - 111 years ago.  I find this photo very poignant as the people in it would not know the horror of what was going to happen within three years.  Did all the men (and even the young boys who may have been old enough to fight by the  end of the war) survive?  We'll never know.
