Orchid Frenzy.....

Another lovely day with my gorgeous family in Essex. Mum has followed with interest the comments on yesterday's blip so thanks everyone - she would have preferred the portrait ones I took of her!
Today we went to the seafront in Thorpe Bay . The cranes on The Isle of Dogs ( or is it Potton :-0) looked almost like a post-apocalyptic skyline of massive robots . I didn't manage to get the exposure or focussing right though. Tomorrow is another day I guess. After we went to Southend and then the inevitable trip to Waitrose . I nearly died.....seriously..... they had just reduced all their orchids to half price. There was a stampede of middle aged and elderly women to the flower department.
This photo was Mum's find. I had a pinky one and a white and purple one. Mum says they all look so nice together do I really want to take my ones back to Wales!!
Yes mum, I do....that's why I bought them!
