Parched II
The grass in Brockwell Park is like straw, and some of the trees have browned leaves and even dropping branches. The ground beneath our feet is cracked as the soil has shrunk. Some of those cracks look fairly deep – I wouldn't wish to drop anything (which instantly makes me anxious for all the possible valuables I could drop). We sat at the top of the hill and watched the dogs go about their walks, sniffs and mischief.
We watered ourselves at Sesame in Herne Hill and looped back home via Dulwich and Belair Park.
Hooray for the Lionesses! The game was so enjoyable to watch – hardly any aggression and loads of enthusiastic joy. The goals were epic, too. I might watch football more if it's like this.
