Breadfruit

This 'fruit' grows on trees here - they're beautiful big trees with very large heavily pinnated leaves - the monkeys love the fruit. Their name is derived from their texture - much like freshly-baked bread - they're served as a starch here - either cut up and baked with a sauce or, the best way, cut into large chips lengthwise and fried - very delicious!
