Belladrum - day 2

Had a pretty good sleep and woke up feeling energised. Took a wander into the closest stage area to the campsite to pick up rolls and hot drinks, very tasty.

Took our time getting showered and organised (there were long queues at the showers!) before we headed into the arena. Wandered about taking in the atmosphere before heading to the test where there were a couple of author talks due to take place (both have been books out), First up was Chris Brookmyre, I’ve read a few of his books and he was an engaging speaker. Next up was Jenny Colgan, it was unfortunate that most of the audience left before she started her talk as it was very funny. Q&A went well though before I splashed out on her latest book and had it signed.

Met up with Mr PHL and our friends to go and listen to some music. Today’s offerings included Goodbye Mr Mackenzie, Blue Rose Code and Christone Ingram. We caught a little of Van Morrisons set but it was pretty crowded in the main arena so preferred to be elsewhere.

When they headed back to their campsite at Beauly just after 10, we went back to ours. I decided to head back in to catch Scooty & the Skyhooks do their set on one of the smaller stages. it was full of energy and a great way to end the night. Well but quite, I was feeling peckish so picked up a pizza to take back.
