Surprise

My neighbour came across last week with a bunch of flowers picked from her garden. She often does this, I think she feels sorry for me as we have so few flowers in our garden! She certainly knows I appreciate her gifts. 

Amongst the more colourful flowers there were what looked like stems of seed pods. A few days later I was surprised to find that some of the most delightful flowers had opened out amongst the seed pods. They are perfect blooms, but I haven't a clue what they are. They are less than an inch across. I haven't seen my neighbour today to ask her.
