The Southern Hawker

It was almost a disaster. I was so thrilled when she landed on the pond. I am guessing she was laying her eggs as she was dipping her abdomen in the water. I had my camera in hand (naturally) so what could go wrong? Well not paying attention to the settings for a start. My shots were under exposed, almost black. Fortunately I was able to salvage them, what a relief.
