Heading South
All too soon it’s time to head south.
We had a coffee, loaded the car and set off, no overnight stop on this leg, Forres to Falmouth in one go.
It’s always sad to say “cheerio”, (my Father told me; “never say goodbye”), and today was no different. Joshua and Tiana are to spend the day with their ‘northern’ family whilst their ‘southern’ family head south.
The first leg is a four hour run through the highlands to reach the motorway near Glasgow, then using the motorway network onto Kendal for motorway coffee. It’s never ending motorway all the way to Exeter where it stops and we take the A30 west then the A39 to Falmouth arriving at 11:45pm.
Paddy has been absolutely brilliant during this travelling the length of Britain and back. He has been at the centre of our concerns during both journeys and the short trips in between. Plenty of water, not so many treats, lots of attention and a walk every two hours when we could.
It’s good to be home even though it’s late and fifteen minutes before Sam’s birthday.
Todays photos, not every motorway service station has an outdoor seating area with a view like this but Kendal does.
