Bembridge Ledge
Best viewed in Large ('L' on the keyboard.)
It seems an age since I went down to the coast to do some seascapes so with the promise of some interesting skies I drove down to Bembridge for a walk complete with camera and tripod along the beach.
Out at sea at this point stretches the Bembridge Ledge, a shallow ledge of limestone rising from the sea bed which has been the cause of many shipwrecks. Visiting yachtsmen often find themselves high and dry on a falling tide in the area.
Across on the mainland we could see some large shower clouds but as is often the case the Island had mostly clear blue sky ,warm in the sunshine but with a brisk breeze.
