a little bit of houseplant maintenance

have had the nicest day - initially battled with my guilt for not doing much when there was a whole world out there waiting, but justified my not doing a lot and pottering about with the fact that i needed a bit of a rest (i think last week had taken more of a toll than i thought) and getting everything straight to make the next couple of busy weeks feel a bit easier.
