Gartmorn Dam
This is the kind of blip which is a record of the day rather than any fancy photography. The landscape is lovely here but it isn't anything out of the way.
This morning we met friends for a walk. They live in Edinburgh and kindly drove far more than half way to meet us at Gartmorn. It was new territory for them though a familiar walk for us. It's one of the earliest, if not the earliest, reservoirs in Scotland. There's an easy circuit of about three miles and this is the walk we did today. Flora had a swim. A good number of damselflies about which was good to see. We had a snack at the coffee place before going our separate ways. Lovely to see them.
There's been a bit more rain and the weather is fresh. Quite a breeze but lots of sunshine too. I was up early to do a bit of tidying up and some (still uncompleted) admin. I need to gather my thoughts and finish it off now.
I've seen more butterflies today than the rest of the summer in total. It's too windy for a butterfly blip though.
