Ark for Ark's Sake

Our second game of Ark Nova tonight - a game that's captured the hypelight this year.  It's fine, though E didn't get on with it, but really doesn't warrant the enthusiasm it's getting in boardgaming circles.

Many are comparing it with Terraforming Mars - the hype magnet of a few years ago.  It shares some mechanisms but really isn't a similar game at all - though it does share the rampant overrating.
