On the way back

Late by the time I got my act together. We ended up taking the bus to Poole. Mistake, got very hot on the top deck. .

Walked through the Dolphin Centre, to the Quay. Had an Aspall, then headed a across Poole Bridge to find Hamworthy Park. A friend recently sent some photos of a beach and beach huts – had no idea there even was a beach round the corner from the bridge. Learn something new every day.

Heat got to me. Pretty exhausted by then. Somehow survived the 1½ mile walk back to the bus station. Had to blip this striking abstract wall outside the Kingsland Development (which has helped transform a an underused section of the otherwise unappealing Dolphin shopping centre.

Bus back. By then (5pm) our Yellow Buses, which ran ca. ½ the bus routes here, had all but disappeared “Yellow Buses has ceased trading > Sadly, after 120 years of filling your community with colour, Yellow Buses ceased trading as of the 4th of August 2022”.
