Crown Jade

While passing the Port this lunch time Crown Jade was just entering Port assisted by Toia and Huria Matenga heading for McGlashen Wharf to load Kiwi fruit.
Crown Jade is a "Reefer" ship so it has refrigerated holds enabling to transport fruit and any cargo that needs to be kept chilled. Its a 25 year old ship of 152 metres and as can be seen in the blip entering Port out of ballast.
Nelson produces 10% of NZ's Kiwi Fruit so a major contributor to NZ exports.
