Tangled Rooftops
Today's image was taken on a short walk through Aylesford village after I had dropped my brother off at the station. This shot is from the top of the steps up to St Peter and St' Paul's church looking through these tangled branches across to the village rooftops.
It felt slightly autumnal at this hour as it was quite a bit cooler and more overcast than it has been recently - an impression enhanced by the fact that some trees are already starting to drop their leaves due to the drought like conditions we're having here (it has been the driest summer since 1976).
It was also great to see that the village's dear old pub The Chequers is now finally under repair after a serious fire almost three months ago.
